Terra Lively is 7 Point Law’s Practice Manager, where she ensures its daily operations run smoothly. She was the first employee of the firm and from her very first day, she keeps everyone in line with gentle reminders about the best use of time. Her natural business and leadership sense found their application as she progressively took over general management of the rapidly growing law firm.

Terra is exemplary in Office Management, Human Resources, Financial Records, Communications, and Information Management. She assists in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures, manages and oversees the administration of HR policies, programs, and practices within the firm. Her wisdom creates the environment for each team member to have all the tools and motivation they need to excel in their work.

With over 15 years of experience in professional office executive assistant positions and a track record of strong performance in high-volume, high-pressure environments, Terra skillfully manages administrative duties and client relations for her colleagues at 7 Point Law. Her passion is to help attorneys and clients who are passionate about the burgeoning new legal cannabis industry simplify their law firm operations and functionality. Under her watch, 7 Point Law has grown and evolved to include best practice management systems. She prides herself on bringing the systems from her big firm days to this savvy, smart, and sophisticated boutique law firm.

Terra’s daily responsibilities include billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipt posting, new client/matter set up, overseeing the trust accounting firm, negotiation and supervision of third party vendors, and assistance with special project work. She also provides support to the attorneys in fulfilling their ongoing professional development, training workshops, licensure compliance, and seminar presentations. Terra ensures the smooth operation of the firm with her robust knowledge of law office culture and her patient handling of client inquiries, consultations, and timely access to information.

Terra’s unconventional upbringing fits the cannabis industry well. She was raised by “hippie parents” who traveled around the southern United States, surfing daily and living in a converted school bus before finally settling down in mid-coast California. Young Terra had a dog named “Cannabis” – of course. Cannabis is long gone, but Terra now has two rescue terriers making waves at home, along with her son, Otis and scientist husband Justin. She volunteers regularly and is very active in the legal and her island home communities.
